"How much is that DOGgie..."

...gonna eat? must be PMS...strange happenings recently like the more-than-frequent binges, being told to stop barking (knowing my chi horoscope well enough), realising how capable the Order of Phoenix was for the past 24 hrs....

i'll prbly need a Sweet Dreams Potions and some bedtime incantations frm Snape and Flitwick....and practise Occulence to block my mind of the intrusion of dark curses...

Somebody pls call the SPCA....my 'woofs' and 'barks' cant hold on much longer....

"What's MY problem????"

..well I don't know....but that's the usual reward and encouragement I receive for being the juvenile delinquent...#*&$^@#*&^ Oh yeah...and i tend to add a little ammonia stench by pissing people off...

Time waits for no one....not even my blogging. The second-hands are ticking faster than my discipline could last. Cheers, to whoever still remembered the existence of Arale. (Yupz, that's you.) TO the others (and you), you guyz missed out ALOT!

Back to school at the ripe old age of 22. Multiply it by 10 and that's the no. of years of experience I felt I've accumulated for the past 2 years.

Through health and sickness, happiness and sorrow, blessings and misfortunes, Arale is now a BIGGER gal with a more congested brain. Yupz, I've grown, physically ( 1cm is no easy feat ok!), mentally (the 10-multiplier), and (a teeny weeny bit) spiritually.

Whatever, lessons are still on tommorow, teaching and wondering how to spend the 2 hrs in westmall (eat....eat...eat....)...

Xinyu, Siyan, Kritika, Ryan, Kathy, Shiu Rou; Zheng Tian, Sijian, Kexuan, Codee, Zihao, Shermaine, Linda -- brain haemorrhage vs ecstacy.

2:12am....phone is ringing....pulse 80...70....65....64.....63......50.......Zzzzzz....

Now I know! - Just an inch away from 'good'...yeah...that's it.

There's no place like home...

...where it's sooo WARM! :| it's quite irritating really...could feel the wisp of hot air the moment I walked along the linkway between the plane and Changi. But it does bring warmth to my heart when i finally saw dingdong waiting for me right outside the gate...im not complaining this exclusively though :P

Had Round 2 of breakfast at BK before we took the cab home....SOOoo WARM :| Quickly unpacked all those chocs before they turn gooey in the packed luggage. I could imagine them melting away, tormented under layers of clothes since i was already starting to persipre under just one. Had a quick bath and Ma and Pa was yacking away when they saw my freaky ezcema all over my neck and upper arms. Luckily my face was still a cracky procelain, if not they would have sent me to the A&E that moment. Yupz, since then, I was banned from doing any dusty dirty housechores which aggrevate the itch according to the doctor's advice. Happy for me right? In fact, I'm quite depressed. Not that I'm a chores addict but to imagine Ma having to do everything by herself is quite painful. Hey sisters, guess it's time for both of you to be more 'zi dong'. June hols coming, jing dear, think u can help with the sweeping at least? The drastic weather changes is not helping at all. Think going on juicing regime again. It helped before and I believe it will this time. Bye dear chocies :'(

The nap was quite refreshing with dingdong zzing on the floor beside my bed :P i didn't even wake up when Ben came. Had a very tasty home-cooked dinner with all my loved ones..Yum! Think stil jetlagging....could zz last nite until 2-3am..woke up at 11 today. Argh! Ming2 tian1 hui4 geng4 hao3...just the waking up part. Teaching and travelling under the sweltering heat of Singapore? Thanks, but no thanks! I don't have a choice, do I?

AraLe's Travelogue: Day 8 - Last but not least, Amsterdam

Heh! Thot i'll end my blog so soon eh? Nopez! I'm here alone in Amsterdam, using the internet place. At least it's the cheapest I can find throughout my stay here, Phew!

Yeah, I thot I won't be having any more access online, but heez, since I'm too tired to walk anymore with all the last minute shopping I'm carry, I might as well just come here and take a rest before I set off back to Leiden for a Thank-you dinner with Xiaogu.

Amsterdam is soooo... crowded..abit like weekend Orchard Road..don't really like it here. So I got myself out of the noise as soon as I'm 90% done with the shopping, Bought quite alot of chocs and the special stroppe waffles of holland. I'm just dreading how I'm gonna lug it all back alone thru the mess of people into the rowdy trainstation. Guess will stay here a little while longer.

Yupz, I'll be on my way in another 16 hrs or so. The SQ flight again :) Hope I can get the same seats I got on the flight here :P All thanx to biaojie :)

Back to Amsterdam, it's not the ideal place to had a good peacful holiday i would say. So many canal rides available (of coz must pay lah...for tourist) but I chose not to. Saw Rotterdam and abit of Delft yesterday with Xiaogu's friend Hwee Teng and her Dutch husband. I still remember the days when she opened 'The Organiser Shop' with Xiaogu and I had to look after it for a couple of days all by myself while they were both not free. Heh..imagine a toot toot 11-yr-old selling sophisticated organisers and stationeries! :P

Yupz, it's true that so many days in Holland is quite a boring experience. I would have planned a better holiday with a trip to UK if I could turn back the time. But it's alrite. The Dutch experience had gave me several 'insights' and learnt more about pple and myself. Yeah, at times, a little homesickness sinks in but not too much to dampen my holiday spirits :P I do miss DNG alot though.

Okie doke. Almost time to go, my credit's finishing soon. And I still have to figure out the most relaxing way to carry the stuff back :p cya guyz back in Singapore soon! (uh...actually quite reluctant the moment I think of the scorching hot sun...)

AraLe's Travelogue: Day 7 - Drowsy Lunch

Yeah..can see from my blog entries how lazy I've been eh? :P yupz, I've definitely been lazing around alot..not updating my blog regularly. But it's okie eh? ;)

Had a very 'important' lunch appoinment with the director of XIaogu's institute in the university. Went to a very beautiful restaurant where we sat in the the sun with the most 'high-class' service. At least to those that I've never experienced. The white asparagus was delicious!! and the Director himself was a jovial man. It was such a full lunch...*burpz*

Didn't roam around too much today. just went to the 'windmill' museum and climbed those SUPER STEEP stairways up to the highest platform of th windmill. Had a big packet of fries which was supposed to 2 be 'small' and being wednessday today, the stalls are all setup along the canal. They're the Wednesdays and Saturdays market in Leiden where it resembles pasar malam in singapore just that they do sell fresh produce too. I bought some really tasty nuts there and i couldn't stop munching on them all the way to meet xiaogu at her office.

Yupz, yesterday was the Leiden touring day alone too...very interesting indeed to wander off in the foreign lands by myself. If only the weather was as nice in Singapore, with the sun and some cool breeze minus the humidity :) I simply love it! But it wasnt long before I realised I missed home, especially my dear. Covered these up with bars of darck chocs and good bread...Yum! :P

Yupz, that's all for now, nothing interesting today except for that lunch earlier on. later going supermarket shopping with Xiaogu again...tomorrow we'll be visiting the sand dunes in the morning since it's Ascension Day, a public holiday in Holland. Friday it would be another individual expedition to the city of Amsterdam...I cant wait! :)

Yupz, probably Arale's Travelogue entry would have to end today. Unless we're back from the Sand dunes and meal with Hwee Teng early, or even before i leave for Amsterdam on Fri that I might have some free time to make a trip to the library, I would have to saya bloggy goodbye for now. :P

Anywayz, it was really fun to travel alone. Too bad I didn't get to visit more cities, not even United Kingdom where I wanted to visit a friend there...

Yupz, adios! :)

Arale's Travelogue: Day 4 - Last Hours in Prague

Day 3 was spent with LOTS of walking...an 8-5 stint..plus the untimely visit by the 'most uninvited guest' ssent me to bed at 8pm with a stomach cramp. Xiaogu thus went to the internet cafe and jazz bar alone. Damn!

Wow...yesterday we covered almost all the sights of Prague on foot. Luckily it wasnt raining like the day before..Went on Charles' Bridge, the Jews Town, Old Town Square and many more that i cant specifically remember. Only the magnificent  architectures of Prague stays in my mind. Truly breathtaking! Very exquisitely defined and built. The uniqueness of those ancient buildings were awesome.

After a grueling day on foot. We bought some junk food back to the hotel and munch our way to a good feet rest. After which, yah...i was lying in bed already.

4 more hrs before we leave this beautiful city. I wished we could have more time to soak in the musical ambience of this place. A concert in the Municipal House would be so shiok. But alas...

Yupz..setting off now...continue when i get back to Leiden on the free internet account :P

AraLe's Travelogue: Day 2 - Big Corn in Prague

*B...U.....R.....P!*

Yeah..the corn on the cob is HUGE! I had one all by myself on while strolling along the streets of Prague. Very beautiful place indeed...I'm finally here...Yippee! In an internet cafe now and it's supa ex...about S$1 per min..cut throat rite?? sianz ah...So i'll try to KISS here..

Reached the beautiful country of Prague at noon on a turbulent flight from Amsterdam. It was both xiaogu and my first time here so we kinda got lost alittle before we finally found our hotel in a quiet corner off the main shopping street. Quite ulu..wouldn't haf noticed if not for some help from the passers-by. Just a cozy little room to rest after our walks :)

It's dinner-time now (well, I'm full enough from that BIG corn earlier on..and after a brief meal, we paid 700+ Kc. for a multimedia show thingy...will elaborate more after I've seen it later :P Sounds exciting coz it's supposed to be one of the most famous in Prague.

A very musical city indeed. There are concerts and musicals and theatres and watever u can name here. Some small churches have their own classical performances too. Some organisers had even to promote on the streets. Not enough audiences. I wished I could spend more time here the musical...Very 'feel' :P

Yupz gotta go....no money liao...dinner time!!!

Arale's travelogue: Day 1 - Happiness, Sorrow, Sleepy

Hi everyone! heh...finally got down to blog..cant even remember exactly when the last time i type here :P yupz bz with all the preparations for Amsterdam and gettin my ezcema in control.

Yeah it's back...and they looked like they're here to stay for QUITE a long long while. Those itchy patches have been really giving me worse than what nitemares could do. My hands were so itchy scratching all over that the doc finally gave me steroids to apply on them and anti-itching medicine...argh! And best of all, I'm a best walking example of a patched face freak. Even tilll now as i typed these words, my fingers are still multitasking between the keyborad, mouse and my itching patches. Those Leiden university undergrads (esp the bio students) muz be jumping with glee to find a monkey at the pc terminal.

Anywayz, thanks to Xiaogu, I manged to save my Euros on the internet cafes by using her university account to log on the web in the library. Ha! It's actually 2.25 pm Holland time rite now, SQ24 touched down at 7 and a half hrs ago and guess what?? I've already seen the beautiful tulips in K- - - - - - - -. (paisay I forgot the name of the garden. Dutch is not an ez language to remember, not to even mention to speak.I'll chk it out and put it in soon :P ) Yupz, the 13-hr entertainment flight here gave me a long 2-hr staggered rest. I admit being adulterous on Krisworld. Maybe I'm just being a suaku who has nvr enjoyed the luxury of choices on the plane. Even the meals were to tempting to be resisted. i ate a piece of fish juz becoz of that :P

Everything was going superbly well, dingdong's little gifts, mum's xtra Euros, prvt time with dingdong at the airport, gettin to know the pilot's stewardess wife, getting the seat with the most leg space compared to the tall lanky angmors around me, nice food, nice shows...but good things do come to an end - temporary! The soles of my ol'shoe came off on -board during one of the multiple trips to the toilet which was just less than a metre away from my seat... had tummyache due to my lust on that piece of fish...having BOTH the soles of my shoes to come off half-way walking back to Xiaogu's apartment...had to walk in one of Xiaogu's shoes that fitted rite up to the toe...and after the 2-hr stroll among the tulips and the walk to almost everywhere else we've been, I need to get a new pair of comfys FAST..if not, there goes my feet after Prague.

Yupz, I was fortunate to get a HUGE treat from Xiaogu to visit Prague with her. But I'm soo....excited. Prague is a lovely place according to many and I can't wait to set off tomorrow morning. (cham...im yawning too much and my fingers are scratching out of control. Not a sign of jetlag I hope..It's not even 9pm in Singapore.)

Yeah..dingdong's in Penang...yupz..miss him...but...

I'm signing off now, Realised I abit long-winded (and sleepy although it's not even 3 in the afternoon here) liao. WIll try to update again when Im back from  Prague on Monday :)

May - I stay in Amsterdam (?) ^^Y

So much for a week...yet again :P Eversince NTU offered me a place, the tulips were the first and only thing in my mind (i don't refer to pple..so dingdong rest assured! :P ) The next was to get a seat on SQ...kekeke!~ yupz luxury u may call it..but i would do anything for the personal in-flight entertainment, especially since I'm gonna be the lone traveller this time round.

There was definitely some mind-boggling episodes with Ma about which airlines to take...the dollar difference between the cheapest MAS and SQ was 547. For a direct flight and my long-awaited SQ experience...I'm all set for it and finally Ma gave in! Ha! Anywayz, I didn't expect any sponsorship this trip round..while i was getting prepared with the $2k+ drainage of my account...I was pleasantly thrilled to be offered a subsidary sum from Mummy dearest which saved almost half of my monthly income for me :) Thanks Ma!

That was the prologue. The 1st chapter of my European travelogue begins with my inquisitive mind. "Where is Leiden? Where's Amsterdam? Can i visit other cities? (Got this idea from Jacky who's in UK) "Can I cycle my way around? Will internet cafes be just round the street corner? (gotta do some spot checking on dingdong :P he's been having wild ideas already even before i left...and actually mainly to add a chapter everyday here)...." Definitely more exciting questions coming along...i'll save that for Xiaogu :D

Yupz, arale's flying off on the 13th...contemplating to extend the stay till the 24th...will decide when i get more 1st hand info from dear Xiaogu...I won't bombard her now since she's enjoying herself with Unlce Poul's company over there now...I still haf another week here anyway :)

Stay tuned to AraLe in Amsterdam! :P

It's been a week!

wow! time flies like nobody's business...it's been like a week after THE FRIDAY...but im like totally exhilarated today...flew past the stars over the rainbow to esplanade and tiny box and back home infront of the pc again...finally got down to write my blog for the week :) YEAH IM A COMM STUDIES UNDERGRAD! :P ~ahem~

okok...eversince the dramatic, traumatic 16th of april...it's beyond's one imagination to go thru a nerve-wrecking written essay titled "What is your idea of a sucessful person" and a not-so-nervous but nail-biting experience of an interview with a uni lecturer followed by an afternoon long of karaoke just to open up that pandora's vox just in time for the studio recording experience of a lifetime (till now at least...i know i'll have more chances in future ^^Y )

haha....just reminising on my week-history...it was so hilarious seeing how that poor Dr Choi was so baffled by my weird paths taken at the different milestones of my past 21 yrs in life...from a potential-JC student + choir leader --> engr poly choice + badminton club secretary ---> graduating with a COM in engr just to teach 2 yrs of music lessons to 20-ovr kids --> ended up with an interview with the comm studies pple...well...i cant help but to thank GOD that i had the opportunity take such a unique journey just by being my old stubborn and rebelious self :P im much better now, so dun worry pple....i've matured so much during these couple of years as a young-educator....im thankful to say im still stubborn and rebelious :) but using these traits to my own advantages :P i'm learning..okie~

the afternoon ktv was okie....3-hr attempt to salvage the foreseen disaster inside the Pandora's Tiny Box...Kenn the producer was fun...at least didnt really ill-treat a newbie like me who cant even sing with basic technique...it was fortunate that his whole crew survived from laughing at my amatuer techniqueless voice...well...kenn and dingdong didnt expect too much from me - they cant anyway..im not competent enough yet...too bad...but my voice was 'still decent' according to them....(the degree of frankness would haf to be verified with the producer and the composer themselve....i rather be kept in the dark :P )

yupz..the past week was quite torturing mentally...like dear teh sang...i was also alwaz feeling under the weather most of the days...felt as if my head was heavier than my butt which was already trying to balance itself on an astronomical scale...had a hard time concentrating to complete my tasks...had quite alot of song-listing to do and the website for our Moments Musicaux....come to think of it...heez...im very behind schedule....now as a soon-to-be undergrad..i realise i have more schedules to plan for my future teaching stints....and my trip to visit the TULIPS!!!! Yeah!!....im really really looking forward man!~ Woohoo!!.....my long-awaited break! :D

For now....it's just proper planning and exceuting of my pre-holiday tasks...getting more rest....losing some weight and looking forward to Holland, NTU, the 2nd opening of Pandora's Vox, WBG's RR (to sing! kekeke~ my wishiful thinkin onli...dingdong will not agree anyway...), getting into the singsong society of ntu...piano ensemble....Zzzzzzz~~~....
